An Ideal Husband

Thu Mar 11, 2004, 9:02 PM
"It is a great nuisance. I can't find any one in this house to talk to. And I am full of interesting information. I feel like the latest edition of something or other."

Haha...I love this! Oscar Wilde rocks! If any of you have not seen this movie - there's no riveting plot, but Rupert Everett plays the best Oscar Wilde character ever! :) Fun times!
And the villainess is delightfully evil! Good times! We should totally watch it!

Hey, You have the same name as me, and you like classical literature too! Thoreau is still on my to read list, but Victor Hugo is my hero. I'm half Canadian, gonna get my dual citizenship one of these days. Do you listen to Simon and Garfunkle? That would just be wierd. Beware, this place is addictive, but in a rewarding way. Lots of positive helpful feedback to be found. Welcome! :orange:
:iconameliaporridge:
Hello half-Canadian - - - I like that. It makes me happy! "Half-Canadian" I want to be half something. Maybe Half-Zimbabwe-an... Anyways, yes I do listen to Simon and Garfunkle - really like Dangling Conversation, Homeward Bound and America.
I love "classical" literature for the most part. But I'm selective. I tried to read a little of Victor Hugo once, but couldn't get into it. Thoreau's a good read, but he drones when he gets talking about nature. Emerson's more interesting if you just want to dive into some ideas. I recommend his journals.
And thank you for the...orange?
:iconbluebadger:
Ahh, thanks for the advice, I shall take note. I'm happy that I'm not the only one who likes Simon and Garfunkle. I like how their voices harmonize, and Paul Simon's poetry.. America is one of my favorites too. Will you post some deviations? Everyone needs oranges! They are more fun than a regular old thumbs up or hug. You know some one loves you if they give you their orange. This however, is only a picture of an orange. hehe.
:iconameliaporridge:
I actually don't know what a deviation is, so until I discover this, I probably won't post one. And the oranges thing - coolness. :D

I think the sarcastic smiley face should be the symbol for bi-polar rather than sarcastic
